The number of internal Umrah performers was 18,878,073, comprising 64.8% men and 35.2% women. Among these participants, the majority fell within the age group of 30-39 years, with 5,477,745 Umrah performers, of which 70.6% were men and 29.4% were women.
The administrative regions with the highest records of Umrah performers during 2024 were Makkah Al-Mokarramah (72.7% of total participants), Al-Riyadh (9.7% of total participants) and Al-Madinah Al-Monawarah (5.5% of total participants).
In 2023, there were 1,825 licensed housing units for Umrah participants. Of these, 1,309 were in Makkah and 516 in Maddinah.

On the other hand, Madinah registered 516 licensed hotels. Of these, 2.9% were five-star hotels, while 58.1% were classified as one star.
