The information presented in this report shows the interaction of Saudi Arabia and Republic of Iraq in terms of economic and social factors.

In December 2025, Saudi Arabia exported 919.4 million to Republic of Iraq, representing 0.5% of Saudi Arabia's total exports during that month.

The main products exported by Saudi Arabia to Republic of Iraq in December 2025 were preparations of cereals, flour, starch or milk and aluminium and articles thereof.

Regarding non-oil exports, these amounted to 336.5 million, with prepared foodstuffs, beverages and tobacco being the main product exported to Republic of Iraq.

In December 2025, Saudi Arabia imported 1.6 million from Republic of Iraq, representing 0.002% of Saudi Arabia's total imports during that month.

The main products imported by Saudi Arabia from Republic of Iraq in December 2025 were articles of iron or steel and aluminium and articles thereof.

Republic of Iraq achieved positive growth in the foreign direct investment (FDI) stock at the end of 2024 with Saudi Arabia, which amounted to 722.9 million, compared to the FDI stock of 2023, which was 698.2 million.

Saudi Arabia's exports to Republic of Iraq in 2025 reached a total of 8.1 billion. The main section wise exports in terms of commercial value were preparations of cereals, flour, starch or milk ( 1.2 billion), electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof ( 1.0 billion), and dairy produce; birds' eggs; honey; other edible produce ( 800.9 million).

Non-Oil Exports

Non-oil exports from Saudi Arabia to Republic of Iraq in March 2026 reached a total of 336.5 million. The main non-oil exports were prepared foodstuffs, beverages and tobacco ( 101.6 million), base metals and their articles ( 64.1 million), and animals and their products ( 36.9 million).

Saudi Arabia's imports from Republic of Iraq in 2025 reached a total of 66.4 million. The main section wise imports in terms of commercial value were aluminium and articles thereof ( 22.9 million), works of art, collectors' pieces, and antiques ( 11.3 million), and lacs; gums, resins and other vegetable saps ( 7.0 million).

FDI Flow

In 2024, the value of the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Inflow was 24.7 million while the FDI Outflow reached a value of 113.3 thousand. These amounts resulted in an FDI Net Inflow of 24.6 million, lower by 29.5% than the previous year.

Note:

FDI inflows: Financial transactions that arise between the FDI institution, direct investors and related companies outside the Saudi economy, which occur during a certain period of time, and form inflows when their positive impact appears in excess of equity and/or debt instruments.

FDI outflows: These are financial transactions that arise between the Foreign Direct Investment Corporation, direct investors, and related companies outside the Saudi economy, and which occur during a certain period of time. They are outflows when their impact appears in a decrease in the side of obligations, such as paid dividends or repayment of loans and credit receivables, or when the foreign shareholder exits.

FDI net inflow: It represents the difference between inflows and outflows of foreign direct investment inflows.
